Using sound as a form of healing dates back to ancient cultures. Records of using gongs have surfaced from as early as ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman times.
Gong baths are a type of meditation where participants are immersed in the healing vibrations of sound during a session. These sound frequencies surpass the intellectual part of the brain and allow you to relax into a slower brainwave state, where you are able to download and process thoughts and emotions. Sound affects us at a cellular level. The result is that you’ll feel calmer, happier, and more peaceful after a session.
Our session will begin and end with gentle movement and breath work. Participants typically lie down and passively soak up the benefits of the sound, so dress warmly in layers and bring your socks. A gong bath is designed to offer relaxation, emotional release, and pain relief.
