In this workshop we will focus on superficial and deep fascia of the upper body with emphasis on relieving tensions from the neck and the shoulders. As always, we may deviate to other areas of the body such as the feet following the fascia lines.

This class will be 90 minutes and include savasana.

In traditional Chinese Medicine, chi (prana) moves through energetic pathways called meridians. These meridians are located closer to the surface of the body within the fascia. For example, the IT band that runs along the side of the leg on both sides of the body is the Gall Bladder meridian. Have you ever noticed if you run your finger along this band that it may appear sensitive or sore (I do!). We will use acupoint balls to faciliate gentle pressure (acupressure) to the meridian lines and points to gently stress the fascia and encourage that flow of chi. This class is appropriate for all yogis and will be held in our meditation room in small groups. Acupoint balls will be provided.
