This workshop explores the five elements found in all living things: ether, air, fire, water, and earth. These are the building blocks of life. How these elements manifest within us gives rise to our individual constitution, our unique place in nature, and how we interact with it.
We are a microcosm within the macrocosm.
Just as we adjust for weather conditions physically for increased comfort, the same can be done for the weather of our body and mind. Find out how to change your diet, movement, and environment to increase balance and ease in your life.
Getting to know and appreciate your dosha is critical to know yourself. It provides clues for what you should eat/do and what you should address when your body or mind feels “off.”
In addition, we will explore the Gunas. In yoga and Ayurveda, a guna is a tattva or element of reality that can affect our psychological, emotional, and energetic states. The three gunas are described as constantly changing and interacting with one another. The patterns of the interplay of the gunas can define the essential qualities of someone or something, and these patterns can highly influence the path and progress of life. Awareness of the Gunas allows us to shift, adjust, and move closer to seeing the universal truth of one collective consciousness.
