What is Cupping Therapy?
Dry cupping is the removal of oxygen from a vessel,
usually a spherical glass cup, using heat (fire) or an air
pump. The removal of oxygen created a vacuum and as a
result suction when the cups are placed on the skin.
Historically cupping therapy has been used in many
cultures and traditions across the world but was made
famous and is most recognized for its use in Traditional
Chinese Medicine. For over 5000 years cupping has been
used to treat internal diseases and provide pain relief to
people suffering chronic and injury related pain.
