Description
Yoga nidra has become a hugely popular practice in recent years. This is because what we all really need to do is...REST! Yoga nidra is a guided practice which takes you into a state of awareness similar to a trance, where you are deeply relaxed but aware (you may also fall asleep if that's what you need to do). It is common in yoga nidra to be awake and dreaming at the same time.
The state of yoga nidra is a highly creative one, in which you have the ability to integrate your conscious and subconscious mind. You will rest and relax on the deepest level, and work with a “sankalpa” or intention, which we will work on together during the day. your sankalpa will be something you wish to create in your life, whether that be peace, self-compassion, clarity or a more material goal. in this workshop we will move to get into our bodies, then we will do two full yoga nidra practices, interspersed with tea and cake.
You will learn the principles of yoga nidra, how to “do” yoga nidra on yourself as a home practice, and also gain access to audio resources for you to listen to at home to continue your practice. Join us for an afternoon of rest and restoration.
