Marisa Hammond is a licensed and registered occupational therapist with 6 years of experience. She
received her bachelor’s of science degree in exercise physiology from Ashland University and pursued
her master’s of occupational therapy degree from Cleveland State University. Marisa has worked with
clients in all walks of life, from infants to geriatrics, to regain functional independence. Currently she
works in area school districts with students with disabilities as well as Wooster Community Hospital. As
an occupational therapist, Marisa will use everyday life occupations for the purpose of enhancing
participation, regaining function, and resuming daily life occupations that support function. Participation
in occupations that are meaningful to the client involves emotional, psychosocial, cognitive, and physical
aspects of performance to enhance health, well-being, and life satisfaction. Clients of occupational
therapy can include individuals or groups ranging from pediatrics to adults to geriatrics.
