Description
Restorative Yoga is the use of props to support the body in positions of comfort and ease, to facilitate health and relaxation. Relaxation can be physiologically measured, and helps with long term functionality of the parasympathetic nervous system. Restorative Yoga is a way to trigger the parasympathetic response (PNS) for growth, repair, healing, better metabolism, proper digestion, and optimal immune functioning.
In this 8 hour Immersion, we will break down how to set up restorative postures with a new depth of awareness. We will explore different postures and different ways to support the body fully, and pay attention to the minute details, which make the most profound difference in the nervous system.
This course is geared toward yoga teachers and health care providers who wish to bring restorative techniques into their current practice, and for dedicated students who wish to go deeper into their understanding of restorative principles. You do not need to be a yoga teacher to participate!
Continuing education hours are available for Yoga Alliance Certified teachers.
Your guide, Kelly Haas, is a Certified Internationally Associated Yoga Therapist, and a Continuing Education Service Provider through the Yoga Alliance. Stillness is not something we can do, only something we can be. Join us!
