Join Kseniya on this 5 week course exploring the use of asana (yoga poses) pranayama (breathing techniques) & meditation with the aim to building up to a main pose each week.
The peak, or the final pose, is not as important as the process, you will benefit from building the foundations of the pose, embodying what the pose represents & helps to develop emotionally.
Week 1 - Dancer (Balance)
Dancer pose is the epitome of balance for the body and mind.
This pose requires opening of the whole body and stilling the mind to prepare.
Week 2 - Crow (Courage)
Discover how to balance on your hands (with the aid of props).
Crow pose teaches you to create connections between your arms and knees, abdominals and spine, mind and body.
As the result, in addition to strength in the body, you may enjoy the confidence that comes with facing your fears.
Week 3 - Wheel (Release & Freedom)
Wheel pose is a powerful and energy-boosting, chest opener.
It helps to counteract the typical modern-day sitting posture slouching forward for long periods of time.
On the energetic level, Wheel pose builds confidence and opens the heart chakra helping to release emotions.
Week 4 - Compass (Enjoy the Process)
Compass, or Sundial, pose is a
grounding and expansive pose with powerful energetic effects. It
requires equal parts strength and
Compass pose is a powerful and challenging posture, we will focus on enjoying building the foundations to this pose. .
Week 5 - Revolved Half Moon (Focus)
A standing balance and a twist. This is a one-legged balancing pose that requires a steady stream of prana in the legs and feet to keep you grounded. As well as a steadiness to encourage a deep twist through the upper body.
It encourages a sense of ease and peace, while being energising and dynamic.
