Description
Dwelling in the heartspace is one of the most important things we need to do in order to shift the energy on the planet during the crisis the world is in. Singing is an excellent way to access your authentic voice as a path of empowerment, because it bypasses the mind and connects directly with the heart. We will sing different musical modes to shift our state of mind and release repressed emotions. The ultimate goal is to connect with the inner sound current that leads to merging with the Self. For those of you who are interested in sound healing: this class will give you the tools to develop your intuition which is the most important element of sound healing. The Yoga of Sound is an ancient mystical tradition using Voice, Breath and Movement as a Way of Healing, Empowerment & Self-Realization Learn • how to sing with your whole body to align yourself and tap into your authentic Self in order to fully express who you are • practices that purify and magnetize the physical and the subtle energy bodies to bring increased creativity, integration and balance • the basics of various modes of music (ragas) to harmonize the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies and • Sanskrit chants and chants of different traditions to access the sacred within by dwelling in the heartspace • Have fun exploring your own healing sounds and songs Testimonials: “Shanti Shivani's healing session helped me to heal on a deep level, to shift energy blocks and to create wonderful changes in my life in an incredibly short time. She shares her skill and experience with grace and is a master teacher.” Tamara Watson, sound healer Canada/Thailand ”It was an honor to sit and sing with you, and hear the microtones, and feel my heart break. The courage that sprouted in me from that seed of singing that day is deep honey in my heart. Thank you." Hope de Laney, Big Island, HI “Shanti Shivani transmits wisdom through singing. She carefully transmits the highly refined tradition of Nada Yoga, the Yoga of Sound. Her own voice is a crystal clear example of the notes, the feeling, the spirit, and the technique. I could rely on her example just long enough to feel it in myself. I came to her work, not as a professional singer, but as someone discovering my voice and the pure pleasure of singing. Her own methods of teaching singing through physical movement took me to new places. I have found my voice and know how to find it when I lose it... You showered us with the beauty of ragas--the modes, the alaap, the rhythm. I was often moved to tears, even with the Malkauns scale. The words of the Nada tradition kept us in touch with spirit. Spirit was always present in your room--through a highly refined tradition and through your adaptation through years of experience.” Sophia Bowie-McCoy, Ph.D.Founder, Moving Intentionsmovingintentions.com
