Description

We are incredibly proud to bring this event back for its second year!

The Yoga Summit is a way for our clients to learn about different aspects of Yoga, and to meet some of our staff and guest teachers. This is an all-day event, but you do not need to stay for the whole day. You can book one or a few sessions, or get a half-day or full-day pass.

The half-day pass can be purchased for the morning (9 A.M. to 1:15 P.M.) or afternoon (2:15 to 7 P.M.) sessions.

The full-day pass will give you access to all sessions and you get a gift bag full of goodies (t-shirt, bottle, pen, personal care products, yoga mat bag, and more!).

There will be a lot of awesome raffles too!

But no matter what kind of ticket you get, there's a lot you will benefit from. All participants will be given a journal, a pen, and index cards that they can use to jot down practical steps they can take to improve their health and wellbeing, so they can start to apply right away what they've learned.

8:30 to 9 A.M.: Orientation for those who bought the full-day pass.

9 to 10 A.M.: Rise & Shine Yoga with Teresa Dornellas - a gentle, all-levels yoga practice where you will be encouraged to connect with your breath, and gently wake up your body and prepare for the day's activities.

10 to 10:30 A.M.: Breakfast will be served. Vegan and vegetarian options will be made available.

10:30 A.M. to 12 P.M.: Moving Safely During a Yoga Practice with Dr. Jen Mattiello - In this workshop, Dr. Jen will use her experience as a Yoga teacher and chiropractor to decode and explain the yoga talk. If the yoga cues offered in class confuse you, this experience is for you. She will show you how to move safely, with special attention to sholders and knees. This is an interactive practice.

12:15 to 1:15 P.M.: Group Reiki with Jenn Young - Reiki is a Japanese healing modality, it's the universal life force energy being guided by an attuned Reiki healer. Jenn's goal is to help you flow and feel grounded. You will experience a guided meditation, during which Jenn will guide Reiki through each participant, followed by a brief discussion.

1:15 to 2:15 P.M.: Lunch Break

2:15 to 3:45 P.M.: Learn the basics of Ayurveda with Shannon McMullin - According to Ayurveda, an ancient practice, everything in the universe, including human beings, is composed of the five basic elements: space, air, fire, water, and earth. The combination of these elements forms 3 main doshas. In this workshop, you will learn about yourself by identifying your unique makeup (dosha) and learning nutrition principles and Yoga moves that can help promote well-being and physical/ emotional balance.

4 to 5:15 P.M.: Beginner Meditation Workshop with Camille Alonso - This workshop is perfect for all ages and levels of experience. Camille will show you how to start a daily meditation practice, breathing exercises, and gentle stretches to prepare your body for meditation and you will get to practice 3 different types of meditation, followed by a journaling exercise to encourage you to continue with your practice.

5:45 to 6:30 P.M.: Sound Bath with April Daly - We will close the day's activities with a mellow and relaxing sound bath. While you rest comfortably, April will play Himalayan and crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, and more. She utilizes the power of sound vibrations to induce deep states of relaxation and meditation. The vibration of the instruments will resonate with both your physical and auric energy bodies to promote healing and a sense of well-being.

6:30 to 7 P.M.: Raffles will be drawn—closing of the event.
