This is a 3 week short course for those working on their Self-Compassion practice.
Course Dates: This course occurs over 3 Sundays (April 16th, 23rd, 30th 2023)
Time: 9.30am-12pm each Sunday
Group Size: We are taking a small intimate group of 10 people
Where: Mirosuna, South Melbourne

Do you find you can be kind, patient and understanding with others, but struggle to be like that with yourself?
Would you like practical tools that strengthen self-compassion and help you navigate tough times?
Then we warmly welcome you to this immersive three-part series: A Mindful Approach to Self-Compassion
Over three consecutive weekends, you’ll be introduced to a Mindful Approach to Self-Compassion with our resident Certified Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher and Meditation Practitioner, Vivienne Law. Connect with your inner kind self through a supportive blend of talks, formal practice and self-inquiry.
COURSE SUMMARY
Part 1: The Essence of Self-Compassion
In this session you will learn the ingredients of self-compassion (mindfulness, common humanity and self-kindness) and how to mindfully approach the practice. Walk away understanding how your inner critic helps and hinders you and the physiological and emotional benefits behind the practice of self-compassion. You’ll be guided through what’s known as a self-compassion break, something you can take with you and implement straight away.
Part 2: The Approaches to Self-Compassion
Like everything in life, we need balance. In this session we explore the two seemingly opposing styles of self-compassion: yin (tender) and yang (fierce) and how to cultivate and nurture these innate qualities, particularly in tough or muddy times. Vivienne will guide you through a series of self-enquiry exercises and practices to help you discover your authentic self-compassionate voice or approach, so you can call upon the energy needed from within.
Part 3: Embodying Self-Compassion in Daily Life
We spend most of our lives with our eyes open. So it makes sense that our final session explores what self-compassion looks like beyond a formal, personal practice. Through a mix of discussion and formal meditation practices, Vivienne will teach you how to embody the practice more deeply as you tend to and enrich your physical, emotional, relational and spiritual needs day to day.

We understand that things change and you may need to pull out for genuine reasons. You may do so with a refund of the course cost up until a month prior to the start date. If you cancel within the month, you may receive a 50% refund. This is a three part short course so please attend every week.
