Body Reading – How to work with injury and imbalance

In this three hour workshop we will learn to see where there are restrictions and holding patterns in the body that can limit movement both on and off our yoga mat. We will learn about the Myofascial Matrix, and how we can improve flexibility, movement and postural balance as teachers and students of yoga.

• Teachers will learn techniques to cue your class from what you’re seeing as you teach.
• Experienced students will be able to have a greater understanding of how to improve their yoga practice with simple fascial releasing techniques.
• We will begin with a short discussion then work into practical posture work understanding more about fascia, where we hold tightness and what we can do to help ourselves and/or students.
• We will finish with a guided relaxation and meditation.
• There will be time for tea/coffee and cake at the end.
