A two day clinic featuring classroom and on snow instruction on standard U.S.F.S. (United States Forest Service)  guide requirements and how to teach the Ride Rasmussen Style techniques.

The course will include:

1. Understanding the Ride Rasmussen Style method of back country ride technique
2. Teaching tips, what you need to know to teach the Ride Rasmussen Style method effectively
3. Group management:
   1. Departure check
   2. Group wellness in regards to individual condition
   3. Experience, handling different skill levels in the same group
   4. Travel rules, handling hazards in travel route
4. Handling emergencies
   1. Broken sled
   2. Injuries
   3. Life flight procedures
5. Pre trip and post trip meeting with guides
6. Managing avalanche concerns
7. Preparing for the group
8. Guides equipment
   1. Tunnel bag
   2. Back pack
   3. Sled
   4. Radio
   5. Phone  

Clinic starts at 9 am M.T.
