Description
Yin Yoga is a sequence of long held asanas that inspire interoceptive (sensation-based) “listening” and facilitates deep rest and recovery. Students will be guided to sustain meditative presence throughout this practice and can expect to hold yin postures anywhere between 2-6 minutes. Devon will facilitate a receptive, breath oriented meditation on stillness and the natural inner pulse using traditional and unique yin methods. Although the modern approach to Yin is a synthesis modality with many influences, this practice invites the roots and evolution of yogic theory to support a somatic approach to building resilience in your nervous system by softening stress and heightening our skills to feel and allow the autonomic facilitation of internal change and healing.
