Description
The start of a new year can be an opportunity for closure and renewal. This transition can elicit feelings of loneliness and connection, confusion and clarity, sadness and hope. All feelings are valid. You're enough. And, you aren’t alone.
Transition into this year differently by allowing yourself the opportunity to share a warm space with others as you set an intention to be more compassionate with yourself in 2024 and beyond.
In this workshop, you'll learn about the science of self-compassion through the utilization of community support, asana, meditation, and personal reflection. Self-compassion originates from Buddhist psychology and mindfulness meditation as a proven way of actively relating to yourself with tenderness and care to experienceinsight, clarity, connection, and healing. Tea will be provided during time together.
Bring: Yoga mat, we will be flowing. A journal and writing utensil, we will be writing. And, anything else you need to help yourself feel comfortable, soothed, and safe. PS. No yoga or writing experience required.
Workshop led by Dawn D. Zitney, M.Ed., NBC-HWC, RYT
