Grab your teammates and join us in this workshop for both recreational and competitive tennis players, designed to increase sport-specific fitness, decrease risk of injury, and help you Stay on the Court! Method’s Dr. Linda Wells and lead strength and conditioning coach David Morales will take you through the unique demands tennis places on the body and which injuries are most common in its players.
We’ll cover:
• Functional anatomy related to Tennis & common
injuries
• Sport-specific exercises designed to decrease your
risk of injury and keep you on the court
• How to incorporate training techniques into your
exercise routine that will improve performance and keep you in the
game

Dr. Linda Wells has been practicing
physical therapy for over 25 years, earning her bachelor's degree
from the University of Oregon and later her Doctor of Physical
Therapy Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center
in San Antonio. Dr. Wells is formerly the Director of Physical
Therapy for Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio, a position
she held for 11 years. She has a special interest and expertise in
shoulder and upper quarter rehabilitation for everyone from the
weekend warrior to the elite athlete. Throughout her career, she
has treated athletes from the NBA, NFL, CFL and MLB. Dr. Wells has
frequently been a guest instructor at the UT Health Science Center
teaching shoulder rehabilitation and has lectured at the Sports
Medicine Symposium in San Antonio eleven times. In addition to her
work as a Physical Therapist, Linda is a competitive tennis player
and the Director of Business Development for Texas Team Tennis. She
served four years as director on the board of the San Antonio
Tennis Association has been a team captain for over 20 years.
David Morales brings over a decade of experience in the fitness and
rehab industry to support bringing the very best experience and
outcomes to his clients, receiving his bachelor’s degree in
exercise science in 2010. Since then, he has trained beginners to
elite college athletes, and everyone in between. David believes
strength and efficient movement are essential to an individual’s
health and wellbeing. As Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach, his
ultimate goal is to create an environment where each client feels
fully supported and empowered to improve their strength and fitness
for life— regardless of experience or physical
limitations.
