Part 1: Welcome & The Foundations of Your Energy
Understanding Kundalini Yoga - The Yoga of Awareness:
What is
Kundalini? A
simple explanation of the powerful, creative energy that resides
within each of us.
What is a
Kriya? Demystifying the core of the practice – a specific sequence of postures,
breath, and sound that work toward a specific outcome.
The Power of Breath
(Pranayama): How conscious breathing can calm the nervous system and
energize the body.
The Vibration of Mantra
(Sound): An
introduction to the use of sacred sounds to focus the mind and
elevate the spirit.
Part 2: The Practice – Gentle Movement & Deep Release
Kundalini Kriya: “Balancing
the Chakras”
This kriya
is accessible for most people
and provides a
profound effect on creating feelings of
stability, creativity, and inner harmony. All movements can be
modified to suit every body.
• Guided
Meditation: “Kirtan Kriya”
One of the most revered
meditations in Kundalini Yoga, known for its ability to enhance
mental clarity and promote emotional balance.
We will use a simple mantra and
finger movements (mudras) to guide us into a state of peaceful
awareness.
