This training is designed to help give coaches the tools to work with youth who may have come from all different backgrounds especially those youth who have encountered some form of traumatic events during their lifetime. This training will focus giving coaches the tools they need to begin coaching through a trauma informed lens which will not only impact the youth they work with on the field/court but most importantly off of it.

This training was created by & will be facilitated by Terrell Johnson who has 21 years of experience working with youth in the Juvenile Justice system and the mental health field. Terrell during this time has been an AAU & Middle School basketball coach. Who has first hand seen the through impact sports can have on youth.

This training will also be Co-Facilitated by Danny Owens who is he owner/ operator of Prime Athletic Performance Training. Danny has 15+ years experience working with youth through his time working in the mental health/ juvenile justice field, coaching various youth sports, and through youth performance training. He has learned about the positive or sometime negative impact that a coach can have on a youth.
