January 20th 1-2:30pm - Foundations of Vinyasa flow - With Michelle (UNHEATED)
A Vinyasa flow (Sun salutation) is a set of poses that are executed in a flowing sequence with your breath. This “flow” is practiced often in between sets of poses or in between standing and floor poses. The sequence consists of Plank, Chaturanga, Upward Facing Dog, and Downward Facing Dog. Each pose is linked through breath, an inhale or an exhale.
Foundations of this flow are important, to build strength, focus and breath. Providing a good foundation in these poses can help you to do them safely, protecting your back, neck and shoulders, and help you move thorugh the flow with more fluidity and ease.
Join me in this 1.5hr fun and informative workshop that helps you to understand the basics of our flow, to help you tweak those chaturangas, up dogs and down dogs different modifications, & why it's important to modify, when you need and to modify to build your stength by working through these poses from the ground up. This workshop is for beginners to seasoned yogis that want to improve their practice and break down each pose in detail. We call it a practice for a reason, always learning, and improving your practice little by little. Forever a student!
See you on your mat!
