Description
“Wintering brings about some of the most profound and insightful moments of our human experience, and wisdom resides in those who have wintered.”
Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times
Join Dawn for a cozy, relaxing, and thoughtful evening of yin yoga while hearing key takeaways from May's book Wintering. Winter is the most Yin season of the year, it is a time to slow down, rest, and nourish the body. A time for internal reflection: the quieter nature of winter encourages introspection and connecting with one's inner self. The darker months are a time of looking inward, slowing down, resting, wrapping up, and keeping warm.
We will end with a relaxing Yoga Nidra practice while creating a Sankalpa (intention) for the winter season. Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a guided meditation practice that can help you relax and enter a state of consciousness between sleeping and waking.
Reading the book before the workshop is optional; one student will leave with a copy for their library.
