Introduction to Pilates
This 6 week Pilates Foundations course is designed for people new to pilates who want to build on the basics and increase strength, flexibility, and balance. as well as, increase greater physical and mental awareness of how the body moves and feels. Pilates integrates breath and movement with proper body mechanics and the exercises focus on the pelvis and trunk, using both stability and mobility to train the body. Additionally, Pilates can be practiced for every body of every age. This 6 week introduction will focus on the six Core Principles of Pilates which are: Breathing, Concentration, Centring, Control, Precision, and Flow.
Special Instructions
Bring a mat, water bottle and towel if needed. Please note parking is very limited, please do your best to use alternative transportation. As we share this building, please be mindful when entering and exiting the studio. We are on the third floor, using exterior stairs.
