Join The BMF Saxophone Quartet 2024-25
This class will meet once a
week for the better part of “the school year.”
(We set it to run consecutive
Mondays Sept 16 through April 21. We left that extra room at the
end of the school year, knowing there will undoubtedly be Mondays
missed due to holidays or weather. Therefore, we'll have the rest
of April into early June to make up for any missed
days.)
We will explore various styles
of music in the saxophone quartet medium. Members will be expected
to prepare their individual parts each week for rehearsal and
prepare for a final public performance at the end of the class. The
various intricacies of chamber music will be explored using
everything from Bach to arrangements of jazz and Pop
tunes.

From 1988 to 2004, Brad was the baritone Saxophonist in the New Century Saxophone Quartet. New Century was the first saxophone quartet to win the prestigious Concert Artist Guild International Competition at Merkin Hall in 1992. Brad performed extensively with New Century throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Some highlights include Weill Recital Hall and Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall; a Command Performance for President Bill Clinton at The White House in 1993; the 1996 Presidential Inauguration of Bill Clinton. Brad appears on the first 6 recordings of New Century Saxophone Quartet on the Channel Classics label.
