Treat yourself to this delicious combination of Yin and Restorative Yoga, by candlelight to boot! The focus of Yin is to dig deep into the health of joints, bones, ligaments, and fascial networks. Yin accomplishes this by taking a more active approach to gentle poses like forward bends, happy baby, or child’s pose. Restorative Yoga is occasionally referred to as "adult naptime” - the exciting part is that it is so much more! Restorative Yoga provides a level of rest but helps to build awareness by keeping you mindful of the body. In this portion of the class, you will experience a small set of poses that rely on numerous props like blocks and blankets to help the body let go and relax. This process gives your body a supported, gentle stretch while allowing the nervous system to relinquish tension and stress built up through the day.
