Yin yoga is a slow, meditative, and healing form of
yoga. Practicing Yin regularly will help to balance out yang styles
of yoga, (strengthening, and Vinyasa) we practice, and help us to
decompress, and relieve stress and anxiety we experience in our
daily lives. In this class we will mindfully move into poses which
are held anywhere from 1-5 mins which will target the connective
tissue and fascia. The poses will mostly focus on hips, pelvis, and
the lower spine, but we will also work in stretches for the upset
body as well. There are three laws to Yin yoga. 1. Finding your
edge- positive discomfort. NOT PAIN 2. Finding stillness- once you
find your edge settle into the sweet spot. 3.Let time flow- the
longer you hold the pose, the deeper you will go. The deeper you
go, the deeper you will heal. The more you heal, the better you
will feel!! Yin helps to create better circulation, joint health,
and will improve flexibility.
