<div>This special 75 minute class begins with slow passive holds designed to encourage deep release in the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and spine. The muscles are able relax, allowing for a gentle release in the joints and fascia. Each pose is held for 3-5 minutes to stimulate the flow of energy and quiet the body in preparation for meditation. The last 20 minutes is for those interested in beginning a regular meditation practice. As our body becomes more receptive through the practice of yoga and pranayama (breath-work), the mind naturally becomes quieter and stress is reduced. The practice of sitting without control or manipulation is the goal of this meditation class. In the absence of pushing objects away or grasping at a certain state of mind, we experience peace. Some lecture is likely. Open to all levels.</div>
