In this workshop we'll use hip mobility exercises, dynamic as well as yin style stretches to facilitate hip opening for a variety of postures such as Hanumanasa (Splits), Upavistha Konasana (Seated Wide Legged Forward Fold), Padmasana (Lotus) and even tricky arm balances like Eka Pada Galavasana (Flying Pigeon).
The practice starts with a heat building and hip opening sequence. We will break down several postures and focus on correct alignment and stability in order to practice hip openers safely and with integrity.
We will explore the connection between our emotions and tight hips. To round off the class you'll enjoy a deeply relaxing guided meditation encompassing the related chakras.
