<div>Meditation is an ancient practice designed to help interrupt the incessant stream of thoughts we experience throughout the day so we can live with more presence and clarity. It has been shown to have physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits whether it be from fMRI imaging, research, or personal stories. As our relationships with the environment and each other are changing at a rapid and often unhealthy pace, this technique is needed now more than ever.</div>
<div><br />This training will focus on the what, why and how of a meditation and mindfulness practice for use in your own life and also has a stepping stone for teaching others.</div>

<div><strong>This training will include:</strong></div>

<li>Science of Stress, Neuroplasticity and meditation</li>
<li>Physiological, psychological and spiritual benefits of a regular meditation and mindfulness practice</li>
<li>Discussion and experience of various types of meditation, including mindfulness practice and Beginners Mind</li>
<li>Techniques for use in meditation, including breath, mantra, mudra</li>
<li>Meditation as form of svadhyaya, self-inquiry</li>
<li>How to set up and stick to a meditation practice</li>

<p><em>Handouts and Recordings are included in the cost of training. Certificate for completion for 8 hours of CE</em><br /><em>can be applied for Yoga Alliance registered teachers.</em></p>
