Yoga Therapy for Death and Dying explores the yogic view of dying,
Buddhist teachings on impermanence, and how yoga can assist
transition for those facing terminal illnesses and their families.
The course covers cultural attitudes and behaviors regarding dying
today and how this can contribute to the confusion, guilt and
discomfort of those dealing with theirs or a loved one’s mortality.
This course will cover:
- What happens when we transition?
- Meditations and practices to honor and embrace our mortality.
- What is a life review: methods for finding meaning and purpose in our existence.
- Being present and holding space for the transition.
- Yoga practices to honor life & feel at peace with our transition.
- Day two focused on becoming a Bodhisattva, developing compassion and learning how to be with suffering in supportive and positive ways.
