<p><strong>Description:</strong><br />Svadhaya is the Sanskrit term for self-study and is one of the niyamas or observances described in the yoga sutras. Svadhaya has the potential for deepening your yoga practice far beyond your mat when we apply this studt to our daily life. As yoga teachers, it is important to continue to evolve your consciousness and discover your life purpose and what the beliefs are that holds you back from living a worthwhile life. The benefits are significant for your sense of fulfilment and prosperity in your life and you will become an invitation for your students to deepen their practice. This course uses a self-inquiry technique known as vichara. This process will allow you to understand the deeper, quieter desires of your soul. It will help you build discernment in terms of the choices you make in how to expend your time, energy and money in your life to achieve your higher calling and desires in your life.</p>
<p><strong>Curriculum:</strong><br />• This course is a combination of assessments, reflection, journaling, mind mapping and lecture content.<br />• There will be exercises designed to become clear about what is a life worth living for you.<br />• There will be peer reflections and discussions to help you process the content by hearing others describe their discoveries.</p>
<p><strong>Learning Outcomes</strong><br />• Understandings the four desires of the soul<br />• The practice of vichara and the role of buddhi in the process of discernment<br />• The concept of vikalpa, or a deep unconscious belief that takes you away from living a purposeful life<br />• The power of sankalpa or resolve<br />• Your life purpose, or dharma<br />• How fulfilling one soul desire affects all the desires<br />• How resistance shows up in your body and life<br />• The creation equation and the effects of relaxation and meditation practices<br />• The use of habits to create a change in your momentum<br />• The seven levels of consciousness and how they relate to basic and growth needs of psychological development<br />• Where your values are in terms of levels of consciousness<br />• Uncovering your fears in the first three levels of consciousness to help you move from surviving to thriving<br />• Assessing your energy alignment</p>
<p><strong>Prerequisites:</strong><br />Registrants must hold a 200 - hour teacher training from a recognized school of yoga.</p>
