<p>In this workshop our expert rigging instructor will take you through the basics of safe rigging for aerial work. You’ll learn: -How to identify, inspect, and correctly use common rigging equipment -Rigging safety best practices -What questions to ask to insure your own safety when performing in an unfamiliar venue -Rigging terminology -Basic static and dynamic load calculation This course is put on with a combination of lecture and practical exercises so students come away not only with knowledge, but also experience building and analyzing safe rigging set-ups.</p>
<p>Bio: Jason Hilton has been rigging, teaching, and performing in the entertainment industry for 20 years. After competing for the USA National Tumbling Team, Jason taught and rigged for Circus Juventas in St. Paul and received performer rigging and flying training with the The North American Association of Flying Effects Directors. After working for several years teaching acrobatics, gymnastics, and circus arts, Jason transitioned into television and film production, working as a stunt performer, stunt rigger, and stunt coordinator. Jason is a SAG/AFTRA stunt coordinator with over 75 film, television, and commercial credits.</p>
