In the midst of the holidays enjoy a 2 hour practice complete with yoga asana & meditation to assist you in grounding & slowing down.
The first hour we will be practicing yin yoga which is a non-heated style of yoga done entirely seated. You will experience longer holds in poses such as fish, half pigeon & forward folds, for example. We will use plenty of props to support us to allow for further release. If power yoga (yang yoga) is playing with your edge, this is the opposite. Our aim is to “un-do” and unwind. In addition, hroughout class Carleena will be providing mindful meditation tools. A yin yoga practice is suitable for any person with any experience of yoga, including those with injuries.
In the second hour of class, we will enjoy a Yoga Nidra guided meditation. Your only task is to lie down, get comfy, and listen to Carleena's journey. Yoga Nidra is proven to reduce stress & the symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as provide relief for chronic pain. It is one of the most approachable (and enjoyable!) styles of meditation to modern yogis.
It is suggested to dress cozy, no yoga clothes required, socks are optional. Pre-registration is requested.
