<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In this workshop flow class, you will learn the basics of back-bending that will give you the foundation for expression in postures such as camel, full wheel and dropbacks. We will start with hip openers to loosen the lower body allowing for more space in the spine. After we have created heat within the flow you will be taught inversions and twists that will support your next evolution of backbends. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Backbending is a chance for you to open your heart, breathe deep into spaces that may carry emotional debris and develop trust in the relationship with yourself and others. The heart chakra is the place where you give and receive love, it is your emotional center for compassion, joy and understanding. We will work through a series of backbends, end in forward bends and then you will be serenaded through song in a long soul-satisfying Savasana.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kerry Armstrong is a Yoga and Self Awareness teacher dedicated to empowering others to reach for their highest potential through the teachings of yoga. Kerry considers herself always a student and always a teacher. She is deeply devoted to yoga, meditation and self-inquiry. She believes that yoga can create a pathway for more peace, health and vitality in the world. Kerry leads a strong vinyasa flow class based on the teachings of Baptiste Power Yoga, weaving in mantras, mudras and breath-work. Kerry is a registered Kundalini Yoga teacher and over the years has studied many modalities in the health and wellness arena. Kerry believes that as a teacher she is simply there to hold space for her students to experience transformation, wholeness and healing. Kerry travels the world leading workshops and retreats as a way to share yoga with each and every person she meets.</span></p>
