Brazilian Zouk is a sensual, passionate, and dramatic dance that evolved from Lambada. It’s full of gorgeous hair whips, unique dips and body isolations, and sexy hip movements and body rolls!
Zouk can be danced to a HUGE variety of songs – It’s great for all the Kizomba and Reggaeton you hear at Latin Nights, as well as for tons of Top 40, R&B, Hip Hop, acoustic, you name it! It’s beautiful to watch, and is danced by people of all ages in nightclubs, dance schools and events around the world! (In Australia and parts of Europe it even rivals Salsa in popularity!)
Our Jacksonville Zouk scene is officially one year old, and everyone who has tried it is hooked! In just one year we’ve traveled as a group to Atlanta, Miami, NYC, Chicago, and even Prague to learn and dance and bring this amazing community to YOU! Come be a part of it every Wednesday at 7pm!
We’ll show you the fundamental Brazilian Zouk moves you need to be able to social dance! In these progressive workshops you’ll build on what you learned each week throughout the month, so please try to attend all classes!
