Drishti, or gaze, can be thought of
as yoga postures for our eyes. Used with asana, drishti can deepen
our practice. Drishti is the practice of dharana, one of the 8
limbs of yoga, and helps to focus our concentration and still our
mind. There are 9 key drishti that may be applied to all styles of
Hatha yoga. In this workshop you will learn the 9 key drishti and
specific properties, benefits, and applications of each. You will
also participate in a hatha yoga class using drishti in each pose
and learn to use drishti in meditation practice. This
workshop is appropriate for both students and yoga
teachers.
