The Pre and Postnatal Yoga Training is an elective module of the Embrace Yoga 300-hour Teacher Training program. In this module, students will explore the practice and principles of pre and postnatal yoga. We often get two different people showing up for a prenatal class; those with a regular yoga practice prior to pregnancy and those who have NEVER practiced yoga before but have heard how good it is during pregnancy. As teachers we need to understand the basic anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, delivery and the post partum period and how to adapt yoga practice to support a woman.
At the end of this weekend, students will have the confidence and comfort to support a pregnant yogi in their classes (none of that panic when a 3rd trimester lady walks in to your flow class) and will create a specific pregnancy or post partum yoga class.
We welcome yoga practitioners and yoga teachers to attend this course simply as a yoga retreat to deepen your practice or for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education (YACEP) credits.
