In this workshop, we will train some of our joint articulations specifically and use some of the tools from the Functional Range System to assess our own true joint health. The experiences we share together in this workshop will give you a peek into how you can increase your joint function and capacity and ultimately start giving you the power to make your movement practice feel better than ever before!

KINSTRETCH is NOT Yoga and it is not Flow. It is also not Pilates. Kinstretch is strength training for your joints and it is is only a small part of the broader Functional Range System. Essentially it is the group practice experience of Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) which is the one-on-one application of the Functional Range System. As a science based mobility training system, it will empower you to earn more body control, flexibility and usable ranges of motion.

So what does that even mean?

Unlike other common methods of mobility/flexibility training such as the physical practice of Yoga where muscles are passively stretched and joints held in position by gravity, bolsters, blocks, straps and other people, Kinstretch focuses on gaining control of your passive flexibility by using our muscles to drive neurological attention to the joints and improve mobility. This serves two purposes; a) Improve USABLE ranges of motion and b.) Strengthen the tissues in these new ranges that you may never even have been aware that you had!

Kinstretch is designed to make everything you do easier. Not only does it open up new ranges of motion for your joints, but it also teaches your body how to control those new ranges by speaking to your joint capsules and connective tissue. Rather than being an alternative to other forms of exercise, Kinstretch is a system that prepares you for all these other things. So whether you want to strength train, run, do yoga, garden, or play with your kids, the better you move, the better you can enjoy these things and with more awareness of what your body is capable of.
