The music and attitude of the blues has permeated modern culture since its inception. Whether you play classic rock, funk, jazz, hip hop, country or anything in between, blues music can be heard in the roots of almost every modern genre.Improve your skills in lead and support roles while covering originals and standards by your favorite artists from the early greats (B.B., Albert, and Freddie King, Howling Wolf, Muddy Waters, King Curtis) to the revivalists (Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Jimi Hendrix, SRV, Paul Butterfield), and the modern players (Joe Bonamassa, Josh White, John Mayer, etc.). The techniques and knowledge derived from the blues will help improve even the most advanced players’ ability. All instruments welcome!
