<p>The Gentle Yoga Training is an elective course of the Embrace Yoga 300-hour Teacher Training program. In this course, students will experience and teach the practice and principles of gentle and beginner-friendly yoga practices. A gentle yoga practice is for everyone and is accessible to most people. Many students come to yoga unable to safely practice yoga due to chronic stress, poor lifestyle choices, illness, injury or limited strength and flexibility. Experience gentle yoga practices and learn how to teach gentle yoga to a broad population and share it with your students.</p>
<p>We welcome yoga practitioners and yoga teachers to attend this course simply as a yoga retreat to deepen your practice or for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education (YACEP) credits.</p>
<p><strong>COURSE TOPICS </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Key alignment and anatomy for foundational poses</li>
<li>Pranayama, mindfulness, and meditation practices to relax and calm the body and mind</li>
<li>Chair and restorative yoga</li>
<li>Teaching methods – verbal cueing, pacing, sequencing, lecture, group discussion on philosophy and psychology of teaching gentle yoga, personal reflection, small and large group teaching and pose adaptations</li>
<li>Embrace your style –music, themes, yoga philosophy, and personal beads to add to your classes</li>
</ul>
<p><em>Upon completion, you will receive 19 CE credit hours</em></p>
