Advanced Asana and
Assisting Training is a 6-day teacher training program designed to
help teachers and advanced students understand and assist advanced
postures, practice and teach intermediate and advanced asana at
different levels, and to address the needs of students with special
needs and injuries. Immerse yourself and your desire for teaching
and commitment.
Morning Session: Meditation, Asana and Assisting Advanced Poses Each day begins with meditation to determine the purpose of the day and create space for healing and connection, followed by an intensive practice that includes advanced asana and hands-on assistance.
Intensive courses are structured in such a way that trainees learn to work with others to gain hands on spotting experience, help (to keep students safe as they learn advanced poses), raise and modify advanced arm balance, backbends, hip openers, inversions, and twists. We will stress the importance of advanced coaching and helping the fundamental movements of a pose.
Intensive is also a sanctuary where you can feel inspired to go beyond the limits you perceive. Injuries and special needs are addressed in such a way that each trainee experiences these classes as part of their own healing practice and viscerally experiences how their students can change their attitudes.

Afternoon Session:
Teaching Skills The afternoon sessions are dedicated to improving
your teaching skills and working with the various injuries, skills
and challenges that will take your students to the yoga room.
You will learn: Assist: instead of using hands-on assistance as a workaround or improvement tool, trainees should learn to work with a student to effect change within an asana, recognizing that this phase is a 50/50 link and contact.
Class Construction: looking beyond simple sequencing and exploring the thematic and sequencing criteria for the establishment and effective execution of advanced poses.
How to Prioritize: It's a big multitask to teach. Students will learn to prioritize where their attention should be based on their personal ability to teach.
Talking Easily: In order to communicate more effectively and authentically, trainees must learn how to resolve repetitive speech and breathing patterns.
Working with Injuries and Classroom Challenges in Real Time: Trainees will greatly enhance their ability to work with pregnancy and injuries including back, shoulder, knee, sciatic, hamstring and post-surgery rehabilitation problems. Trainees must learn how to deal with the injuries they face every day.
How to Evolve as a Teacher: Trainees must learn how to pursue their personal path of education. Honoring their ambitions and dreams, and making a road map for their yoga career next step.
