A certified Anusara yoga teacher, Madelaine’s teaching style is both playful and soulful with a focus on physical alignment and intelligent sequencing. Integrating biomechanics, philosophy, myth, mudra and shadow work, each class explores a different theme.
Madelaine’s classes are mixed level. You are encouraged to go at your own pace and she can offer modifications whenever needed. She meets each student on the mat at his or her comfort level and provides instruction from there.
This class is currently offered virtually only.
About Madelaine...
Madelaine Enochs-Epley has taught yoga for 15 years and continues to study the practice she first took up more than 20 years ago.
After struggling for years with OCD, depression and pain in her joints, Madelaine’s life was transformed the first time she practiced yoga in 1998. That first yoga class over two decades ago would become her healing journey, one that drives her desire to help others travel the same path.
Her yogic studies follow the lineages of Hatha, Iyengar, Anusura and Tantra. Madelaine continues her own yoga education and has studied with Sianna Sherman, founder of Rasa Yoga, among other well-known master teachers, including Tias Little, Ashley Truner, Douglas Keller, and David Regelin. In 2013, Madelaine enjoyed extensive study at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, where she took Advanced Yoga Teacher Training, with a focus on psychology, shadow work, and myth.
Madelaine taught for six years at the Central Kentucky YMCA, and has taught in a number of other Lexington studios, including the Lexington Healing Arts Academy and Centered. She also offers personal training.
A native of Lexington, she is married and the mother of three daughters. A professed homebody, Madelaine also loves to create art, cook and bake, garden, and spend time with her family.
