Recent studies indicate that Yoga, practiced the right way, can build bone mass and prevent fractures without undesirable side effects. You’ll learn a safe and enjoyable practice to improve bone and muscle strength, posture, and balance.<br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">This workshop provides an overview of osteoporosis:</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Definition, prevalence, testing, risk factors, remediating factors, physiology</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Consequences: fractures, falls, bone health</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">- How yoga can counteract weakening bones without undesirable side effects.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Do’s and Don’ts: movements which are safe and movements to be avoid</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">We guide you through carefully selected yoga poses to build muscle and bone, improve posture, balance, and overall strength as recommended by Dr. Lauren Fishman. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">For men and women of all ages; appropriate for those who’ve never done yoga, experienced students, and yoga teachers. </span></p>
