<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #000000;">Songwriters and Aspiring Songwriters:</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #000000;">What if we told you you are going to write a song a week this summer.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>What if you were going to write a sequel to David Bowie’s Space Oddity?<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>You might be asked to write one song that changes time signatures in the chorus, introduces a chord that wasn’t in the verse, all in a specific tempo, oh, and it cannot rhyme; in another song you’d have to a include vocal flourish or hum or grunt that isn’t an actual word, and make that a singalong hook(!), and the 8-measure bridge should start on a minor chord. Oh, and the song should be about something that is old or out-of-style, like a rotary phone or a fax machine. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #000000;">Here’s your perfectly inspiring and fun summer camp, that will keep you creative and engaged—and socially-distanced.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #000000;">This camp will give you a weekly songwriting project that will keep you inspired, motivated, and creating.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>And at the end of the camp you will have something to show for it—forever.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #000000;">Critically-acclaimed songwriter and owner of Beacon Music Factory, Stephen Clair has been teaching super successful songwriting classes like this to adults and kids for years—both in the classroom and online. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #000000;">This 6-week Summer Songwriting Camp is extremely well-suited to online life as we know it:</span></p>

<li class="li1"><span class="s1" style="color: #000000;">We listen to songs and talk about what songs and songwriting mean to each of us</span></li>
<li class="li1"><span class="s1" style="color: #000000;">We discuss one another’s songs in constructive ways</span></li>
<li class="li1"><span class="s1" style="color: #000000;">You receive the Prompt of the Week, a set of guidelines to inspire you for your songwriting project for your weekly songwriting task.</span></li>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #000000;"><strong>Yes, you will write a new song every week.</strong> You will undoubtedly be inspired, get lots of support, and you will amaze even yourself. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #000000;">We meet online, so feel free to invite family and friends in other time zones to join! </span></p>
