This class is the very thing to begin your journey with Pilates in a safe, nurturing space.
You will be introduced to the benefits & basic principles of Pilates.
This class is for you if you're an absolute beginner, pre or post natal or you want to revisit the basics and strengthen their personal practice.
Child friendly session - we are happy for you to bing your child along and have them sit quietly with something to occupy them -eg. homework, book, ipad. Playing with the reformers and equipment is not allowed. You must be responsible for your child at all times throughout the session.
We will cover the Five Basic Principles that will be the foundation for you to build your personal pilates practice. Inna Essence incorporate modern theories of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation developed through STOTT PILATES.
These fundamental principles relate to body awareness and proper alignment to ensure safe and effective exercise:
- Breathing
- Pelvic Placement
- Rib Cage Placement
- Scapular Movement and Stabilisation
- Head and Cervical Placement
