Long Slow and Deep allows students to get the physical and mental benefits of yoga but without focusing on strength, endurance or even acquiring much heat. This series will focus on floor postures designed to create space and length for the spine and take students into their minds. Long Slow Deep, or LSD yoga commonly referred to by its founder Bryan Kest consists of stretches held for 2-3 minutes. This allows the hamstrings, groin, hips and back more time to release. This is not a restorative class. Benefits of this class are acceptance, patience, letting go, learning how to engage the muscles softly rather than push, relaxation, and flexibility. We will encourage the parasympathetic nervous system to take over.

Each session will build on the last, moving focus to various parts of the body while incorporating skills built throughout each session.

This 4 part class series is great for those who have injuries that may prevent them from participating in faster style classes and those wanting to experience yoga in a different form.
