The Eight Limbs and Yin training will reflect deep commitment to yoga tradition and conscientious teaching, it is available to teachers, health care practitioners and those who wish to immerse themselves in the deeper knowledge of the practice.
The training includes an exploration of the following:
- A safe and thorough foundation to practice/teach Yin Yoga
- Yin Yoga methodology
- In-depth study of energy anatomy and physiology
- Yin Yoga postures
- Understanding of the physiological responses to Yin Yoga
- Exploration of Yoga philosophy and ethics for teachers and students
- A trauma sensitive approach to Yin Yoga
- Differentiated training that is relevant and of value to all attendees
- Adequate time for practice, reflection, inquiry, and support
Friday: 7-8 PM Yin Class and Meet/Greet
Saturday: 11-12:30 / 1-6 PM Yin Class and Training
Sunday: 11-12:30 / 1-6 PM Yin Class and Training
Fee: $375
15 Hours Total
(including 1 hour of 1 on 1 time after training for questions, reflection, follow-up)

Jennifer Scamorza is the director of Yoga University NJ, a wellness program designed to bring yoga and mindfulness practices to schools, organizations, businesses, and communities. Jennifer is passionate about creating a supportive and productive learning environment for all clients. Her fifteen years in the NJ public school system include classroom instruction, coaching, curriculum development, and team leadership. Jennifer teaches weekly yoga and mindfulness classes for children and adults, and also facilitates workshops and trainings for schools, studios, and organizations throughout the state.
Jennifer is a certified yoga instructor with 800+ hours of training and has been teaching since 2009. Her experience involves working with clients of all ages, life paths, and learning abilities in various communities, including outreach programs in both mental health and correctional facilities on behalf of the Root to Rise/The Phoenix organization. Jennifer’s continuing education experience consists of specific training in the following areas: Yin Yoga, Sivananda Yoga, Chair Yoga, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Scientific Research on Yoga for Children and Adolescents, Managing Sensory Integrative Challenges with Yoga Tools, Yoga for the Special Child, and Radiant Child Yoga.
