<div>Yin Yoga is a quiet, gentle practice, suitable for all levels of practitioner. In each class, we do a few basic postures, staying in each from 3 to 5 minutes while relaxing our muscles. This targets our body’s connective tissue, addressing the mobility and health of our joints in the hips, pelvis and spine. Mindfulness during practice; recognizing and allowing our body's sensations, our emotions, and mind-states, helps unpack and unwind the stresses housed in our tissues. We create a safe place to explore surrender and acceptance in our postures, which opens new doors to insight, ease and contentment in our lives. Yin Yoga is helpful preparation for the sitting meditation at the end of class, and both provide wonderful balancing and restorative qualities to our very “yang” lifestyles.</div>
