Do you have a teen who is interested in yoga? In this six week series specifically for teens, we will discover exactly what yoga means in regards to mind and body through the overarching theme of what it means to be “perfect” in our increasingly imperfect world. With so much of our lives moving online, anxiety is all too common amongst teens who compare themselves to other people’s lives on a screen. Through the practice of yoga poses, pranayama, mindfulness, we and foundational philosophies, students will discover greater strength, flexibility, comfort, and relaxation in their body and mind. Using a holistic approach to yoga over this six week series, students will learn how incorporating the theme of being “perfectly imperfect” can reduce anxiety and manifest self-acceptance and confidence into their everyday lives.
hey will learn tools to help develop focus and concentration and understand that they have the power to shift their state, self soothe or ask for support. Each class will include various activities for children to connect, breathe, move, focus, and relax.
