<p>This 20-hour online Yoga anatomy training is appropriate for yoga students wishing to deepen their understanding of yoga anatomy, (the physical body & the subtle energy body), & for students wishing to complete their 200-hour yoga teacher training certification*.</p>

<p>Includes 10 weekly – 90 minute online interactive live streamed sessions (recordings of sessions will be posted as needed), 10 - 30 minute recorded on demand videos, & access to the Posabilities on demand video library of yoga practices for the duration of the module. </p>
<p> The 10 sessions include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Developing a home practice using 3 planes of movement</li>
<li>Tissues of the body – focus on bone, muscle, & connective tissues; Physiology of strengthening & lengthening</li>
<li>Respiratory system – How the body breaths</li>
<li>Subtle energy body – Prana, nadis, chakras, vayus…</li>
<li>Your brain on yoga – Exploration of the nervous system, & how yogic techniques can be used to positively influence it.</li>
<li>Understanding the joints - Types of joints, normal movements and ranges of the joints</li>
<li>Skeletal system – the scaffolding of the body</li>
<li>Axial skeleton (Spine, ribs, sacrum, skull), muscles and connective tissues of the torso</li>
<li>Lower body – skeleton, muscles, and connective tissues of the Pelvis, Hips, and Legs</li>
<li>Upper body – skeleton, muscles, and connective tissues of the shoulder girdle and arms.</li>
<li>Each anatomy session will include posture and movement explorations to help understand and experience the content presented. </li>
</ul>
