This
2-part Weekend Intensive for Yoga Teachers is led by Yoga Therapist
Megan McCarver and provides the foundation for understanding
different types of meditation practices and how to teach them to
groups or individual students. This intensive will explore the
nature of the mind and dive into different types of mental patterns
and how to remedy them with specific meditation practices.
This
intensive will focus on assessing and understanding various mental
states which include: mudha (stupefied/dull), kshipta (disturbed),
vikshipta (alternating between distraction and focus), ekagrata
(one-pointed), nirodha (focus enveloped/ held/ restrained),
vaishvanara (waking), taijasa (dream), prajña (deep sleep), turiya
(beyond) and how to correctly apply meditation practices to pacify
various states according to the needs of the individual
student.
