Paint a flower that is covered in sparkling diamonds of the morning dew! In this art project, you will learn how to paint flowers, and how to add raindrops to its leaves and petals. A tulip, rose, poppy, or morning glory? You can pick your favorite flower. Even if you never tried to paint before, you will enjoy the technique that will make it surprisingly easy and fun, - and if you are already an experienced painter, you’ll bee ahead of the game. You will learn step-by-step how to paint a flower: we will get really close to the flower, and make it magnified – to how a bee would see it. The instructor will guide you through composing in pencil by demonstrating the principles of balanced composition and negative shapes. The demonstration by the instructor will allow you to follow along, whether you choose the same flower as the demo or pick your own flower. You will create your painting in color, add the background, and bee ready to add raindrops to it. This is the part when the magic happens! You will learn how to paint dewdrops and raindrops – the exciting technique that will make your painting irresistible! After this week, you will be able to paint raindrops on anything! You will learn the “formula” of water droplets – one of the coolest art tricks ever.
Throughout the week, the instructor will give participants tips on how to talk about their art. On the last day of the week, on Friday evening, all the pieces created during this art program will be displayed in the online exhibition with a wine-cocoa reception, and parents, family members, and friends are invited to view the work and enjoy critique and discussion.
